Are you a lover of books and old things? If so, the New Harmony Antiquarian Book and Paper Show will be just your cup of tea.
The show will be held at the Ribeyre gym in New Harmony Indiana on Saturday, February 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is the fourth year for the show.
Approximately twenty vendors from across the Tri-State will be selling books and antique paper items. First edition books dating back to the 1700’s …will be available as well as antique advertising, newspapers, maps, magazines, prints, photos, lithographs, and posters. Local and regional authors will be on hand as well. There will be vendors selling marbled and hand decorated papers, handmade books, and altered book artwork. A professional bookbinder will also be on site.
New this year will be an artist’s surplus sale in the annex next to the Ribeyre gymnasium. Local artists will be selling supplies and artwork at a discount.
Admission to both sales is $1.00 at the door of the Book and Paper show.
“On display will be an exposure of a wide range in history of books and printed material. If you are someone who enjoys the craftsmanship, illustration, and beauty of a book as an object, this is the show for you.” said Ben LaBudde, co-coordinator.
