Mt. Vernon’s annual Fall Fest returns September 29- October 1 on downtown 9th Street in Mt. Vernon. The weekend features a free kid’s zone with inflatables, laser tag, the Continental Tire obstacle course, a climbing wall and an escape game. The Fall Fest kid’s zone is open from 5- 8p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.- 8 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. Sunday. Triple B Farm will feature a free petting zoo in this year’s kid’s zone from 11 a.m.- 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. Sunday. The petting zoo will include a potbelly pig, goats, miniature donkey, and baby chicks. Triple B Farm is a small family farm located in Woodlawn.
