The NCOE School Board held the regular monthly meeting on October 16, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. All members were present. The meeting was brief due to a light agenda. The minutes and bills were approved as submitted.
Booth Principal, Mrs. Carter introduced the new teachers, Chassity Rose, Booth Special Education teacher; and Logan Tharp, district Art Teacher. Teresa Scroggins, NCOE Jr. High Special Education Teacher, was introduced by NCOE Principal, Mr. Reavis.
The Board agreed to allow winter walkers in the high school gym in the mornings from 6:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.
The third reading of the Facility Use Policy was held and was unanimously voted on and approved.
Mrs. Carter wanted to thank the Enfield Christian Church for housing all three of the pre-k screenings. The pre-k class is at full capacity as a result of the screenings.
Next week there will be parent teacher conferences held throughout the district. Parents are encouraged to meet with the teachers. NCOE and Booth report cards went home today.
Booth PTO will be hosting a family fun night on October 18th at 6:00 p.m.
The high school will be hosting a Veteran’s Day assembly for the first time. It will be held in the high school auditorium on November 8th at 1:45 p.m.
The meeting adjourned at 7:46 p.m. The next scheduled Board meeting is November 20th.
