NCOE Falls to Crab Orchard
The Norris City Omaha Enfield Fightin Cardinals fought a hard battle but fell to Crab Orchard 63 to 52 Thursday night in a game that had originally been set for tonight.
Trace Simmons led the Cardinals with 14 points.
The game was led by Crab Orchard’s Keegan Peete with 27 points. He scored 14 of those points in the fourth quarter. Hunter Throgmorton added 18 for Crab Orchard.
The game was broadcast here on 92.1 Fm and AM 1460 WROY. Jeff Skaggs and Joey Lane had the action covered.
The game was moved to allow NCOE fans to attend and support the Norris City Omaha Enfield Junior High Basketball team in tonight’s Championship at the Class M Finals at Rend Lake College. The junior high team will face Pickneyville for the championship.
There’s basketball on the air tonight, as the Carmi White County Bulldogs will host the Hamilton County Foxes this evening. Game time around 7:45. Jason Craig and Chris Lucas will be on the mics for tonight’s game, just a bit before 7:45 with the pre-game show.
There is also basketball on the air Saturday as the Evansville Purple Aces take on Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. That game can be heard here on WROY AM1460 and the new 92.1 FM. Airtime; 7 p.m.
