The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Rend Lake will be hosting a Nature Craft Day at the Rend Lake Project Office & Visitor Center on Saturday, June 9, 2018. The fun begins at 11:00 AM and continues through 2:00 PM. Participants will be able stop in anytime while the event is going on and spend as much or as little time as they like. The creative day will include crafts made with items from nature, such as painted rocks, leaf impressions, stick boats, and gumball critters! Everyone will get to take their creations home with them or hide their painted rocks around Rend Lake! Nature Craft Day is designed for participants over 3 years of age and adult supervision is required. Bring your friends, family, and creative spirit to join Rend Lake Park Rangers for a day of nature crafting at the Rend Lake Project Office & Visitor Center on Saturday, June 9 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Saturday, June 16, the summer Environmental Science Series will continue with “The Reptile Experience” featuring Serengeti Steve. Because of the popularity of this program, we will be featuring three program times to allow more guests to enjoy the show. Programs will begin at 11:00 AM, 12:30 PM, and 2:00 PM. Serengeti Steve will amaze you with a variety of snakes, lizards, and other reptile friends. This very popular program fills up quickly, so arrive early for a front row seat!
