The Wabash County Coroners Office has identified the victim in Wednesday’s stabbing. The victim has been identified as Jennifer L. Phelps, age 41, of Mt. Carmel. The suspect in the case, her fiancé, Ruben A. Corzine, made his initial appearance Thursday in Wabash County Court. Corzine is being charged with 1st-degree murder and is being held in the Wabash County Jail on a $5 million dollar bond. Corzine’s next court appearance will be February 10th at 1:00 pm.
