The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
On 02/09/2016, Mt. Carmel Police arrested 41 year old Lloyd A. Wood of Mt. Carmel. Police were originally called to the Wood residence reference a domestic. While on scene officer’s were told that Wood struck a family member. During the investigation drug paraphernalia was located in the bedroom of the residence. Wood was subsequently arrested for domestic battery and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wood was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting bond.
On 02/11/2016, Mt. Carmel Police arrested 26 year old Steven P. Melendez of Jeffersonville, Indiana. Melendez was arrested after he was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered that he was driving on a suspended license. Melendez was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
