On 5/10/2017, at approximatley 3:15 pm, Mt. Carmel Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. 3rd Street reference a vehicle accident between a passenger vehicle and a District 348 school bus.
According to the police report, Gaila R. Pinnick of Mt. Carmel struck the back of the school bus as it slowed for a railroad crossing.
The school bus was driven by Rodney V. Harris of Mt. Carmel and had 39 passengers on board.
Pinnick’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene. None of the 39 passengers nor the bus driver reported having any injuries. Pinnick reported that she would seek medical attention on her own.
