The following individuals were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
05/22- Mt. Carmel Police cited 18 year old Sierra A. Fortner of Mt. Carmel for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. Fornter was released into the care of a family member and given a mandatory court date.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 49 year old Heidi A. Divine of French Lick after being stopped for a traffic violation in the area of 9th and Oak Street. During the arrest it was discovered that Divine was wanted on a no bond warrant out of Knox County (Indiana). Divine was transported the the Wabash County Jail for holding. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Austin T. Wiggins, age 33, of Mt. Carmel. Wiggins was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol by a passenger.
05/21-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 41 year old Stephen J. Kays of Mt. Carmel after he committed a traffic violation in the 300 block of N. Walnut Street. Kays was found to be driving on a suspended driver’s license and was subsequently arrested for the the violation. Kays was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.
05/20-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 21 year old Caleb A. Brown of Allendale after he was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop the arresting officer reported that Brown appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Brown was arrested for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Wabash County Jail. Brown was held pending the posting of bond.
05/19-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 32 year old Christopher M. Greentree of Mt. Carmel after he was accused of stricking his girlfriend in the face. Police located Greentree and placed him under arrest. Greentree was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.
05/18-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 59 year old Dennis L. Hedge of Winslow, Indiana. Police were called to 103 N. Market Street in reference to a male subject laying on a front porch. When Police arrived on scene they were told by Hedge that after leaving the VFW he decided to stop at a friends residence and rest on the front porch. A records check revealed that he was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant. Hedge was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending $100.00 cash bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 32 year old Maegan L. Pierce after she stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Pierce was in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia. Pierce was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Pierce was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 33 year old Amanda E. Foreman of Vincennes after she was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered she was driving on a suspended driver’s license and did not have valid insurance on her 2004 Chevrolet. Foreman was cited for the above mentioned violations and transported to the Wabash County Jail pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 28 year old Thomas E. Fugate of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped for driving on a suspended driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Fugate was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Heather M. Hall, age 29, of Mt. Carmel. Hall was arrested when it was discovered she knew Fugate was operating a motor vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. Hall was issued a citation for permitting an unauthorized person to drive. Hall was released at the scene.
05/17-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 28 year old Jessica L. Bilotta of Mt. Carmel on one count of disorderly conduct. Bilotta was charged with disorderly conduct after she was accused of entering the Mt. Carmel Inn and Suites yelling and cursing at patrons. Bilotta was arrested after one of the victims signed a probable cause for disorderly conduct. Bilotta was taken into custody and held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 32 year old Samantha L. Bader of Tell City, Indiana after she was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Bader was wanted on a Perry County, Indiana warrant charging her with theft. Bader was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was held pending the posting of $1,500 cash.
