A Mt. Carmel man identified as David M. Blanchette has been arrested and is currently in the Gibson County Jail awaiting transfer to Wabash County on drug charges.
Blanchette who is in Gibson County Jail on an unrelated charge, is charged in Wabash County with 1 count of delivery of methamphetamine (Class 2 felony). Blanchette is serving a sentence in Gibson County and once it is complete he will be transferred to the Wabash County Jail. Blanchette’s bond has been set at $4,000 cash.
Blanchette is part of a larger narcotics investigation being conducted by the Mt. Carmel Police with more arrests forthcoming.
