The following individuals were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court law.
03/28/2018-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 31 year old Clyde W. Wilkinson of Allendale after he was stopped by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. Wilkinson was stopped for a traffic violation in the area of Hinde and Mulberry Street. During the traffic stop Wabash County K-9 Roy arrived on scene and alerted for the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. A search resulted in police finding drug paraphernalia. Wilkinson was arrested and cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis paraphernalia, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Wilkinson was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.
03/27/2018-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 32 year old Brett A. Bethe of Mt. Carmel after police responded to the area of 9th and Plum reference a male subject chasing a female. Upon arrival Bethe was located and found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bethe was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 47 year old Scott W. Mayberry of Mt. Carmel after he was observed operating a motor vehicle in the 300 block of W. 9th Street. The arresting officer knew Mayberry was driving on a suspended license. Mayberry was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving on a suspended driver’s license.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 26 year old Zachary M. Peach of Mt. Carmel after he was observed in the area of 9th and Walnut Street. The arresting officer knew Peach was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant. Peach was taken into custody and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of $200.00 cash.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 30 year old Brittny M. Byrns of Mt. Carmel after police located her in the 200 block of W. 2ndStreet. The arresting officer knew Byrns was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant. Byrns was taken into custody and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was held pending the posting of $200.00 cash.
03/25/2018-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 24 year old Billy J. Dill of Mt. Carmel after he was located on the property of 1230 N. Walnut Street after being told he was barred from the property. Dill was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with criminal trespass to state supported property. Dill was held pending the posting of bond.
