The following individuals were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
09/29/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 43 year old James L. Shoultz of Mt. Carmel. Shoultz was wanted on a violation of an order of protection warrant. MCPD Officers took Shoultz into custody after observing him operating a 2002 Chevrolet in the 700 block of Poplar Street. Shoultz was taken to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of bond.
09/30/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 29 year old Justin J.M. Boner and 52 year old Vincent A. Sutton both from Mt. Carmel after police responded to a disturbance in the 1000 block of Chestnut Street. Police located Boner and discovered that he was wanted on a failure to appear warrant out of Wabash County and Edwards County. Boner was also found to be in possession of a spring loaded knife. Boner was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with resisting a peace officer and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. Boner was also served the two warrants and is being held pending the posting of bond. Vincent Sutton was arrested and charged with concealing or aiding a fugitive after he lied to the officer’s concerning Boner’s whereabouts. Sutton was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.
10/01/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 44 year old Carie A. Richardson of Mt. Carmel after police responding to a call in the 1900 block of N. Cherry Street observed Richardson standing outside of her residence. The arresting officer knew that she was wanted on a Wabash County deceptive practice warrant. Police were able to place Richardson under arrest and transport her to the Wabash County Jail where she was served the warrant. Richardson was held pending the posting of $150.00.
10/02/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 50 year old Brian K. Pinkstaff of Vincennes, Indiana after he was stopped for a traffic violation in the 200 block of W. 9th Street. During the traffic stop the arresting officer discovered that Pinkstaff was driving on a revoked Illinois driver’s license. Pinkstaff was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of bond.
