The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
On 09/14/2016, the Mt. Carmel Police Department responded to Family Dollar reference a possible shoplifter. MCPD Officer’s arrived on scene and placed 42 year old Sharalee F. Hahn of Mt. Carmel under arrest. Hahn is accused of taking several items out of the store without paying for them. Hahn was transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was charged with retail theft. Hahn was held pending the posting of bond.
On 09/17/2016, Mt. Carmel Police responded to 930 Chestnut Street reference a domestic. During the investigation it is alleged that April L. Swanson, age 32, of Mt. Carmel told responding officer’s that she was a victim of domestic abuse. During the investigation evidence was recovered that lead police to believe she was filing a false police report. Swanson is accused of causing injuries to herself and then trying to have a family member arrested for those injuries. Swanson was arrested and charged with a class 4 felony of disorderly conduct. Swanson was transported to the Wabash County Jail and was held pending the posting of bond.
