The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
08/22/2016- Mt. Carmel Police arrested Tony L. Tarlton, age 53, of Mt. Carmel after police were called to his residence in the 400 block W. 5th Street. When police arrived they were told that Tarlton had closed fist punched a female inside of the residence. Tarlton is accused of striking the female victim several times in the face causing her to seek treatment at Wabash General Hospital. Tarlton is also accused of trying to prevent the victim from reporting the domestic. Tarlton was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with aggravated domestic battery and interfering with the report of a domestic. Tarlton is being held in the Wabash County Jail pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police were called to the 500 block of Market Street reference a disturbance. Upon arrival MCPD Officer’s were told that a 23 year old Dakota L. Burgess and 27 year old David M. Blanchettee had been in a physical altercation while up town. Officer’s located the two subjects and both were arrested on 1 count of disorderly conduct. Blanchettee was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were transported to the Wabash County Jail were they were held pending the posting of bond.
08/21/2016- Mt. Carmel Police arrested 29 year old Nicholas M. Irelan of Mt. Carmel. Irelan is accused of violating an order of protection by walking in front of the protected person’s home. Irelan was located and placed under arrest. Irelan is being held in the Wabash County Jail pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 36 year old Villeda Lionte of Cannon, Missouri after he was stopped in the 1500 block of W. 3rd Street. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Lionte was driving without a valid driver’s license. Lionte was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for unlawful display of a license plate, no valid insurance, no valid driver’s license. Lionte was released after posting bond.
