The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
04/27/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 34 year old Lindsey Mackey of Evansville, Indiana after she was stopped for a traffic violation in the area of 9th and Mulberry Street. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Mackey was driving on a suspended driver’s license. Mackey was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was held pending the posting of bond.
04/28/2017-Mt. Carmel Police 39 year old Jerome Maxwell of Jackson, Mississippi after police were called to the Super 8 Motel in reference to a domestic. Police were told that Maxwell had struck a juvenile family member in the motel lobby. Maxwell fled the hotel but would later be found hiding in the woods behind the motel. Maxwell was arrested and charged with domestic battery, resisting a peace officer, and obstructing identification. Maxwell is also wanted on a probation violation out of Mississippi. Maxwell was transported to the Wabash Count Jail and held without bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 28 year old David M. Blanchette of Mt. Carmel after the arresting officer noticed him leaving the 400 block of W. 4th Street. The arresting officer knew Blanchette was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant and placed him under arrest. Blanchette was in possession of cannabis and given a citation for the offense. Another person with Blanchette was identified as Andrew M. Lagow, age 30, of Mt. Carmel. Lagow was found to be in possession of cannabis and was cited. Blanchette was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 22 year old Kendal M. Martin of Mt. Carmel after the arresting officer observed her standing outside of 2 Go’s in Mt. Carmel. The arresting officer knew Martin was wanted on a Wabash County warrant. Martin was taken into custody and is being held in the Wabash County Jail pending the posting of $300.00 cash bond.
04/29/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 3 individuals on drug and alcohol related charges. Police arrested 18 year old Haillie N. Batterton, 18 year old Draven J. Davis, and 18 year old Branson Hall of Mt. Carmel after the vehicle they were in was stopped in the 400 block of Cedar Street. Police located alcohol, drugs, and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. All three subjects were arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail. The narcotics found in the case will be sent to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab for analysis. All three were held pending the posting of bond and more charges could follow.
05/01/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested two subjects at the Wabash Valley College dorm on Risley Avenue after investigating a retail theft at occurred at Jumpin Jimmy’s in Mt. Carmel. The arresting officer reported that Crimson C. Jones, age 19, of Flora, Illinois and 19 year old Lauren N. Carroll of Cotton Plant, Arkansas, took items from Jumpin Jimmy’s without paying for the them. Carroll was arrested and charged with retail theft and resisting a peace officer. Jones was cited for retail theft. Both subjects were transported to the Wabash County Jail where they were held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 30 year old Jessica L. Aten of Mt. Carmel after police found her in the 300 block of W. 3rd Street. The arresting officer knew Aten was wanted on a Lawrence County failure to appear warrant. Aten was taken into custody and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was held pending the posting of $150.00 cash bond.
