The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
04/20/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested Brandon J. Plew, age 24, of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped in the 400 block of Mulberry Street. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Plew was operating an uninsured motor vehicle and he was driving on a revoked driver’s license. Plew was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited and held pending the posting of bond. A passenger in the vehicle was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol. The passenger was identified as 21 year old Peyton N. Fearheiley of Mt. Carmel.
04/21/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 18 year old Tanner K. Sisson of Mt. Carmel after he was observed at Casey’s General Store. The arresting officer knew Sisson was wanted on a failure to appear warrant and placed Sisson under arrest. Sisson was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of $300.00 cash bond.
04/22/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 58 year old William A. Humphrey of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped in the 400 block of Walnut Street. During the traffic stop the arresting officer reported he believed Humphrey was under the influence of alcohol. After further investigation Humphrey was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Humphrey was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper use of electronic device, and illegal transportation of alcohol. Humphrey was also cited under the city cannabis control act for possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. Humphrey was held pending the posting of bond.
04/23/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested two family members on domestic battery charges after police were called to their apartment early Sunday morning. Police arrested 24 year old Brian J. Bray and 27 year old Dustin E. Adams of Mt. Carmel. Police were told that the two brothers were in a physical altercation over cigarettes. Both subjects were arrested and charged with domestic battery. Both subjects are being held in the Wabash County Jail pending the setting of bond.
