The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
04/16/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 40 year old James C. Miller of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Miller was driving on a suspended driver’s license. Miller was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 36 year old Valerie C. Schrader of Mt. Carmel on multiple charges after a complaint was filed against her for damaging a motor vehicle with a car key. The complainant stated that Schrader took a car key and damaged her vehicle while it was parked at a friends home. When police located Schrader she was driving a 2003 Chevrolet. MCPD Officer’s made contact with Schrader and subsequently arrested her for criminal damage to property. During the arrest Mt. Carmel Police located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Schrader was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was cited for criminal damage to property, methamphetamine possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Schrader was released after posting bond.
