The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
03/06/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 29 year old Adam W. Barnett of Mt. Carmel after he was observed in the passenger seat of a vehicle in the 300 block of W. 3rd Street. The arresting officer knew Barnett was wanted on a failure to appear warrant out of Wabash County. Barnett was taken into custody and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was served the warrant. Barnett was held pending the posting of $300.00 cash bond.
03/08/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 23 year old Devan T. Wright of Patoka, Indiana after he was stopped for a traffic violation in the 800 block of W. 3rd Street. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Wright was driving on a suspended driver’s license. Wright was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while suspended. Wright was held pending the posting of $150.00 cash bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 57 year old Janice M. Mustain and 48 year old Gary D. McCoy of Princeton, Indiana after police stopped a vehicle driven by Mustain. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Mustain was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant along with a Lawrence County failure to appear warrant. During a search of the vehicle police discovered suspected methamphetamine in the car. Both Mustain and McCoy were arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail. Mustain was cited for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license was revoked, illegal transportation of alcohol, and she was served the warrants. McCoy was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects are held pending the posting of bond.
