Mt. Carmel Police arrested 24 year old Joshua D. O’Daniel of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered that O’Daniel was wanted on a Wabash County warrant. O’Daniel was wanted for a probation violation. O’Daniel was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of $2,000 cash bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 64 year old Donald K. Reynolds of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Reynolds was driving on a revoked driver’s license. Reynolds was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.
On 03/13/2016, the Mt. Carmel Police were asked to conduct a welfare check on a Quanetesa Carter-Kimble of Columbus, Ohio. The complainant advised Carter-Kimble was at a local hotel and not answering her phone. The complainant was concerned for the well-being of Carter-Kimble and requested a welfare check. Police went to the Super 8 Motel in Mt. Carmel and found a rental car that Carter-Kimble had driven to Mt. Carmel. Police went to her room and when she answered the door, MCPD Officers reported a strong cannabis smell coming from the room. MCPD Officer’s located over 65 grams of cannabis in the room along with ammunition for a .45 caliber handgun. Carter-Kimble and a male companion, Charles L. Hollingsworth, were both arrested and charged with possession of cannabis. A search warrant was obtained for the rental car and searched for further contraband. Further charges may be filed against Hollingsworth. Both subjects are currently being held pending the setting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 54 year old William G. Zinselmeier of Albion after he was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered Zinselmeier was driving on a suspended license. Zinselmeier was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail and charged with driving while suspended.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 35 year old Phillip L. Lang of Mt. Carmel after he was found driving his vehicle on the Mt. Carmel levy in Mt. Carmel. Police were notified of a vehicle stuck in the mud near the levy. When officer’s arrived on scene they found Lang operating the motor vehicle on a suspended license. Lang was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with driving while license is suspended, criminal damage to government supported property and criminal trespass to state supported property. Lang was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 28 year old Joseph D. Payne of Keensburg. The arresting officer located Payne walking in the 900 block of Chestnut Street and knew he had a Wabash County warrant for contributing to the delinquency of a child. Payne is accused of providing alcohol to underage individuals at a party held in December of 2015. Payne was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of $500.00 cash bond.

Mt. Carmel Police were called to McDonalds at approximately 9:00 am on Monday morning reference a male subject threatening to “kill” both patrons and employees. Mt. Carmel Police arrived on scene and located 34 year old Timothy L. McKinney of Mt. Carmel acting in a disorderly manner. McKinney led officers on a short foot pursuit but was caught when he ran into former Police Chief Ken Burkitt. McKinney was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. McKinney is being held in the Wabash County Jail pending the posting of bond.
On 03/15/2016, the Mt. Carmel Police responded to a vehicle crash in 1400 block of College Drive. According to the police report, William E. Beckerman was traveling North on College Drive in a 2006 Toyota when he collided with a 2015 Jeep being driven by Dustin E. Adams. Beckerman’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene. Adams was able to drive his vehicle from the area. Neither driver reported injuries nor did the two passenger’s in Adams vehicle. No citations were issued.

Mt. Carmel Police stopped a 1994 Saturn in the area of 6th and Poplar Street for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered that the driver, Jeffery K. Windle, was driving on an expired driver’s license and operating the vehicle with no valid insurance. Windle was cited for the traffic violations. The passenger in the vehicle was identified as Jacob A. Lambert, age 22, of Mt. Carmel. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Lambert was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant. Lambert was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was served the warrant and held pending the posting of $300.00 cash bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 23 year old Megan M. Jackson of Fransisco, Indiana after she was stopped for a traffic violation in the area of 7th and Market Street. During the traffic stop it was discovered she was operating the motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Jackson was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was charged with driving while license is suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Jackson was held pending the posting of bond.
