The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
02/26/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 43 year old Stephanie R. McCoy of Mt. Carmel for DUI drugs. Police received a complaint of a female subject removing items from a yard in the 1100 block of W. 3rd Street. Police located McCoy in the 900 block of W. 9th Street. According to the arresting officer, McCoy appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic. McCoy refused testing and was arrested for suspicion of DUI drugs. McCoy was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.
02/24/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 49 year old Ronnie E. Allen of Mt. Carmel on a charge of violating an order of protection. Allen is accused of being within 500 feet of the residence of a protected person. Allen was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he is being held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 27 year old Justin C. Galey of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped by the arresting officer in the area of N 1550 Blvd and Poor Farm Road. The arresting officer knew Galey was driving on a suspeded driver’s license. Galey was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while suspended. Galey was held pending the posting of $150.00 cash bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 48 year old Lloyd E. Gunzel of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped for a traffic violation in the 100 block of Walnut Street. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Gunzel was driving on a suspended driver’s license and he was wanted on a failure to appear warrant out of Lawrence County. Gunzel was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and he was served the Lawrence County warrant. Gunzel was held pending the posting of bond.
