The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
01/31/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 34 year old Nicole M. Morgan of Mt. Carmel after a Wabash County warrant was issued for her arrest. MCPD Officer’s located Morgan at her residence and placed her under arrest. Morgan was transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was served the failure to appear warrant. Morgan posted $200.00 bond and was released.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 62 year old Dennis E. Powell of Mt. Carmel after he was found in an alley in the 1200 block of Cherry Street. The arresting officer knew Powell was wanted on a failure to appear warrant out of Wabash County. Powell was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of $200.00 cash.
02/01/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 34 year old Nicole M. Morgan of Mt. Carmel after she was stopped for a traffic violation in the area of 8th Street and Chestnut Street. During the traffic stop Wabash County K-9 arrived on scene and indicated the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. A search was conducted and suspected methamphetamine was found in the vehicle. Morgan was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where Morgan was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 56 year old Billy J. Wagner of Mt. Carmel after he was observed walking in the area of Second Street and Poplar Street. The arresting officer knew Wagner was wanted on a failure to appear warrant and placed him under arrest. Kyria J. Linson, age 33, of Mt. Carmel was walking with Wagner and was also arrested after it was discovered that she was in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Linson and Wagner were both transported to the Wabash County Jail where they are held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 47 year old David Jason Seaton of Mt. Carmel on a Wabash County warrant. Seaton was wanted on a warrant charging him with violation of an order of protection. Police located Seaton in the 100 block of E. 9th Street and placed him under arrest. Seaton was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was served the warrant. Seaton was released after posting $1000.00 cash bond.
