The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
01/27/2017-Mt .Carmel Police arrested two individuals after they were stopped by the Mt. Carmel Police. Mt. Carmel Police arrested 29 year old Jerry L. Cessna of Lawrenceville after it was discovered he was driving on a revoked driver’s license. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as 29 year old Lucas R. Greene of Lawrenceville. Greene was arrested after it was discovered he was wanted on a Crawford County warrant. Greene was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis. Both subjects were transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.
01/28/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 33 year old Justin I. Peppers of Mt. Carmel after they were called to a residence in the 1100 block of W. 3rd Street reference a domestic. During the investigation it was discovered that Peppers was wanted on 2 Williamson County warrants and a Franklin County warrant. Peppers was taken into custody and held pending extradition.
01/30/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 29 year old Brandon T. Pepper of Mt. Carmel after MCPD Officer’s were called to Family Dollar reference shop lifter. Pepper is accused of taking pain reliever without paying for the item. Pepper was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with retail theft.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 41 year old Carrie A. Patton of Mt. Carmel. Police were called to the 400 block of Elm Street reference a stand by while a occupant was moved from the residence. Patton was at the residence and it was discovered that she had a Wabash County warrant for deceptive practice. Patton was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was served the warrant. Patton was held pending the posting of $500.00 cash.
01/31/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 47 year old James H. Burden of Mt. Carmel after MCPD Officer’s were called to a residence located in the 700 block of W. 6th Street. During the investigation it was alleged that Burden struck a female family member in the face. Police arrested Burden and transported him to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with domestic battery. Burden is being held pending the posting of bond.
