The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
12/31/2016- Mt. Carmel Police arrested 38 year old Marshall R. Keneipp of Mt. Carmel after he was found to be in possession of a car that was reported stolen out of Vanderburgh County (Indiana). Keneipp was placed under arrest and taken to the Wabash County Jail where he being held pending the posting and setting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 26 year old Michael V. Hild of Mt. Carmel after police were called to his residence in the 1000 block of Cherry Street. Hild is accused of striking his girlfriend during an argument. Police originally arrested him on one count of domestic battery but would later charge him with being in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Hild is being held pending the setting and posting of bond.
01/01/2017- Mt. Carmel Police arrested 59 year old Pamela K. Fischer of Bellmont after she was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop the arresting officer reported smelling alcohol coming from her person. Fischer was given a series of field sobriety test and after those tests she was arrested for suspicion of DUI. Fischer was transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was cited for improper lane usage and DUI (a)(2) for testing over .08. Fisher was released after posting bond.
01/02/2017- Mt. Carmel Police arrested 46 year old Melissa D. Rowan of North Pole, Alaska after police were investigating a disturbance near Lincoln Park. Police were told that a female was in the middle of the road attempting to strike cars with a baseball bat. Police arrived on the scene and located Ms. Rowan with a baseball bat and a beer in her hand. The arresting officer reported that Rowan was swinging the baseball bat at the police car. Rowan was placed under arrest and charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful use of a weapon. Rowan was transported to the Wabash County Jail and held pending the posting of bond.
