The following individuals were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
10/06/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 46 year old James N. Kimmel of Keensburg after police found him on playground equipment at the Mt. Carmel City Park around 11:50 pm. During their investigation they located suspected drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine on his person. Kimmel was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine. Kimmel was held pending the posting of bond.
10/07/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 40 year old Donna M. Angle of Sumner after she was stopped for a traffic violation in the 600 block of Walnut Street. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Angle was operating on a suspended driver’s license. Angle was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was cited for driving suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Angle was held pending the posting of $200.00 cash.
10/08/2017-Mt. Carmel Police responded to a one vehicle accident in the 1100 block of Cherry Street around 10:46 am Sunday morning. According to the police report, Kimberly J. Brown, age 50, of Mt. Carmel drove a 2001 Chevrolet into the side of the Cherry Street Bridge. Brown was transported to Wabash General Hospital for treatment and later released. Upon her release Brown was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was charged with DUI, driving revoked and illegal transportation of alcohol. Brown is currently being held pending the setting of bond.
