MCPD arrest report 10/20 – 10/21

The following individuals were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department.  All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

10-20-2017-Mt. Carmel Police went to the 1400 block of W. 3rd Street and arrested 45 year old Jeremy J. Drew of Mt. Carmel after Richland County issued a warrant for his arrest.  Richland County authorities notified Mt. Carmel Police that Drew had a $1,500.00 cash bond warrant for failure to update/register as a sexual offender.  Police located Drew and placed him under arrest.  Drew was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held until posting the $1,500.00 cash.

At approximately 9:25 AM the Mt. Carmel Police received a complaint of an erratic driver in the 100 block of E. 9th Street.  MCPD Officer’s located the suspect vehicle and observed a traffic violation.  The vehicle was stopped and the arresting officer identified the driver as Ricky R. Collins, age 38, of Bridgeport.  The arresting officer suspected the driver of being DUI and after field sobriety testing the suspect was arrested.  Collins was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for DUI and illegal transportation of alcohol.  Collins was released after posting bond.

Mt. Carmel Police were called to a disturbance at 1307 N. Mulberry Street.  The complainant advised that two individuals were trying to kick in the front door of the residence.  When police arrived on scene they observed a male subject running from the residence.  The subject was stopped and identified as 38 year old Jeramey A. Gillihan of Carmi.  Gillihan was arrested after it was discovered that he was wanted on a Lawrence County Failure to appear warrant.  Gillihan was transported to the Wabash County Jail where the warrant was served.  Gillihan was also cited for possession of cannabis.  Gillihan was held pending the transfer to Lawrence County.  A second person at the residence was arrested after police found that person trying to hide under the back seat of a truck parked in the driveway.  That person was identified as 21 year old Miranda K. Fritchley of Albion.  Fritchley was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant and a White County failure to appear warrant.  Fritchley also picked up two additional charges.  Police charged Fritchley with resisting law enforcement and possession of drug paraphernalia after a smoking pipe was found in the vehicle.  Fritchley is being held pending the posting of bond.

Mt. Carmel Police arrested 21 year old Dorothy J. Lewis of Mt. Carmel after police stopped her for a traffic violation.  During the traffic stop it was discovered that Lewis was driving on a suspended driver’s license.  Lewis was transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was cited for driving while license is suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.  Lewis was held pending the posting of bond.

10/21/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 32 year old Tanya C. Boan of Mt. Carmel after police located her on South Gate Drive.  Boan was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant.  Boan was taken into custody and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was held pending the posting of $200.00 cash bond.

Mt. Carmel Police arrested 38 year old Karabeth Edmondson of Mt. Carmel after police observed her standing outside of 602 Division Street in Mt. Carmel.  The arresting officer knew Edmondson was wanted on a Wabash County deceptive practice warrant.  The officer took Edmondson into custody and transported her to the Wabash County Jail.  Edmonson was held pending the posting of bond.

Mt. Carmel Police arrested 31 year old Jessica L. Escobedo of Mt. Carmel on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.  Police investigating a burglary came across Escobedo and found her to be in possession of the illegal items.  Escobedo was held at the Wabash County Jail pending the posting of bond.
