The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
11/10/2016- Mt. Carmel Police took 39 year old Timothy W. Morrison of Mt. Carmel into custody after police received information he was in an apartment located at 330 W. 10th Street in Mt. Carmel. Police went to this location and found Morrison hiding in a restroom underneath shelving and a curtain. Police took Morrison into custody and transported him to the Wabash County Jail. Morrison was wanted out of Wabash County for aiding a fugitive to escape and for failure to appear to court on a stalking charge. Morrison is being held pending the posting of $5,000.00 cash bond.
11/11/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 24 year old Jacob S. Wilkinson of Mt. Carmel after police located him in the 400 block of W 2nd Street. Wilkinson was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant. During the arrest he was found to be in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia. Wilkinson was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and served the Wabash County warrant.
11/13/2016-Mt. Carmel Police, along with EMS, Mt. Carmel Fire, and a Wabash County Deputy, responded to a two car vehicle accident just off the Wabash River bridge. According to the police report, James R. Hull, age 52, of Patoka was traveling north when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a vehicle traveling south on Walnut Street. The driver of the second vehicle was identified as John W. Bumgardner, age 69, of Mt. Carmel. Bumgardner was transported to Wabash General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Hull was cited for no valid driver’s license and illegal use of electronic device.
