The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
11/15/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 34 year old Nicole M. Morgan of Mt. Carmel after they responded to a call concerning an impaired driver in the area of 4th and Walnut Street. The arresting officer reported that Morgan was stopped as part of the investigation and during that stop it was discovered she was not a licensed driver. Morgan was arrested for driving while her license was cancelled. During the stop it was discovered that she had hid suspected cannabis hidden in her bra. Morgan was transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was cited for driving while license is cancelled, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and she was given an ordinance citation for the cannabis. Morgan was held pending the posting of $200.00 bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 23 year old Felisha L. Donnals of Mt. Carmel after police were called to an unwanted person at 814 W. 9th Street. When police arrived on scene they observed Donnals smoking suspected cannabis out of a glass pipe. It was also discovered that Donnals was wanted on 2 Wabash County warrants and 1 Lawrence County warrant. Donnals was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was served the 3 warrants and she was issued ordinance citations for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Donnals is being held pending the posting of bond.
11/14/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 28 year old David M. Blanchette of Mt. Carmel after police responded to a domestic in the 200 block of E. 2nd Street. Blanchette is accused of striking his wife in the face with his fist. Blanchette was arrested for domestic battery and transported to the Wabash County Jail. During a search of Blanchette it was discovered that his was in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia. Blanchette was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and domestic battery. Blanchette was held pending the posting of bond.
