Battling less than ideal conditions, Rend Lake College Men’s Golf Team put up good showing at Weibring Golf Club in Normal at the NJCAA Region 24 Championship.
With temperatures in the 50s and strong wind gusts, the Warriors had to battle the conditions just as much as their on-the-course competition. In the end, RLC walked away with a 4th team place finish, shooting a squad 950 over three rounds, putting them at +98.
The effort was highlighted by a 6th place individual finish and 2017 NJCAA Division II National Championship qualification from Landon Vaughn (McLeansboro) with his three round 231 (+18). Vaughn was also named to the 2016 All Region Team.
