The McLeansboro City Council will meet tonight. The lengthy agenda will include discussion and/or action on executing an agreement for management and other administrative services by and between the City of McLeansboro and the Southeastern Illinois Regional Planning and Development Commission, discussion and/or action on executing an agreement for engineering services with Shawnee Engineering regarding Grant #19-203056 (sidewalk improvements and ADA compliance), passing an ORDINANCE MAKING THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY FOR THE CITY OF MCLEANSBORO, ILLINOIS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING MAY 1, 2019 AND ENDING APRIL 30, 2020, authorizing the demolition of a burned-out house located at 304 South Marshall and owned by Tina Brown, renovation plans for City Hall, authorizing new police policy guidelines, establishing an ordinance prohibiting the sale of recreational use cannabis in McLeansboro City Limits, approval of the 2020 regular meetings of the McLeansboro City Council, the purchase of software upgrades for the Volunteer Fire Department, discussion of the formula for clothing allowances and/or fire call reimbursements for the Volunteer Fire Department, and discussion and or/action on the purchase of a snow plow blade. There will also be reports from the Collector and Treasurer, Alderman, and Zoning Administrator, as well as public comments.
