Maunie Man Arrested on Multiple Charges
A Maunie man remained in custody this (mon) morning after he was arrested Saturday morning on multiple charges.
According to the White County Sheriff’s Department incident report, Deputy Sheriff Randy Graves while patrolling in Maunie noticed Shane L. Williford, 45, whose address was listed as 183 Vine Street, Carmi and knew Williford was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
The report indicated there was a verbal confrontation between the deputy and Williford, who was eventually arrested. That after County Sheriff Doug Maier arrived on the scene and provided assistant to the deputy.
WIlliford was transported to the City County Jail, where he is facing charges on the outstanding warrant as well as resisting/obstructing a peace office and aggravated assault.
Bond was set at $500.
Earlier in the week, authorities arrested Chaska D. Ricker, 23 of 103 Woodlawn Street, Carmi. Ricker was arrested by Sheriff Maier on a warrant for unlawful failure to register as a sex offender. Bail was set at $25,000, $2500 cash.
Ricker eventually posted the cash bond, along with a $20 booking fee and was released from custody.
Ricker was arrested Tuesday afternoon.
