The Carmi-White County Girls Basketball team defeated Fairfield at home last night by a final score of 42-41.
With the game tied in the final seconds, junior Addi Elliott made the game-winning free throw to give the Lady Bulldogs the win.
Elliott and Caroline Simmons led Carmi in scoring with 11 points each.
Ashlyn Rager scored 8.
Jaya Smith scored 5.
Torrie Rider scored 4.
Natalie Goemaat scored 2.
Eva Attebury scored 1.
The Lady Bulldogs improve to 13-7 on the year and 6-1 in the Black Diamond Conference as they now sit at first place in the BDC standings.
Carmi will host Mt. Vernon (IN) tomorrow night before traveling to Edwards County on Thursday for a big conference battle with the Lions.
The Bulldog Wrestlers will travel to Fairfield tomorrow night for the Black Diamond Conference meet.
