The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball fell to Benton last night in the IHSA 2A Regional Semifinals at Hamilton County by a final score of 53-23.
The Bulldogs hung around in the first quarter, trailing 13-7 after the first 8 minutes. The Rangers continued to build their lead, taking a 25-13 lead at the half, and then extending that lead to 40-21 at the end of the 3rd, before pulling away with the 53-23 win.
The Bulldogs end the season with a 14-15 record, and the careers of their 5 seniors; Mitchel Edwards, Kade Stockton, Gavin Holloman, Beck Huff, and Cade Allen come to an end.
Benton will move on to face Carterville in the Regional Championship tomorrow night, the Lions defeated Hamilton County 54-47.
