The Carmi Police Department, White County Sheriff’s Department, and Carmi-White County Unit #5 Board of Education and Administration are committed to providing a safe environment for the students and staff.
Beginning on Wednesday, March 7 Carmi White County Board of Education will be partnering with local Law Enforcement Officers to provide security services. A Carmi Police Officer or a White County Deputy will be at the Junior/Senior High School on a daily basis throughout the remainder of the school year.
These Officers will also spend time at the other schools in the district throughout the day. This is being done as a precautionary step to help provide an even safer environment for the students and staff in the buildings.
