Local Gideons and Carmi Ministerial Association Will Host Prayer Walk Saturday

Saunders said that last year over 100 people from Carmi and the surrounding community, members and non-members of many area churches participated in the Prayer Walk. They are hoping to draw and even larger crowd at this Saturday’s walk because as both gentlemen said, “Prayer makes a difference.” The Prayer Walk will begin at Veterans Memorial Park across for the Carmi Light and Water office in downtown Carmi. Greg Grant talked about what participants can expect on the Prayer Walk and the route they will take…

The Carmi Ministerial Association who is co-sponsoring the Prayer Walk along with the local Gideons is comprised of ministerial staff from area churches in the Greater Carmi area. The Association meets once a month on the first Wednesday of the month to organize events and gatherings throughout the year, such as the Prayer Walk, a Thanksgiving Service, a Patriotic Service, and a Good Friday Service. One of the main functions of the Carmi Ministerial Association is overseeing and being a sounding board for the Carmi Compassion Center.

The Prayer Walk begins this Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Carmi.
