Little Giant Attacked
A Shawneetown woman, 70 year old Sharon Holmes escaped serious injury after crashing her pickup truck through the outer wall at Little Giant Grocery Store Thursday.
There were no injuries reported in the crash. Although it goes without saying, many of the store patrons were left aghast as they observed the front end of the truck sticking through the wall of Little Giant.
However the crash left a gaping hole in the store, located on outer West Main Street, here in Carmi, across the highway from Wal-mart. It was pointed out the collision came through the store wall at about the location where shopping carts are held, which likely can be attributed to there being no injuries.
Ron Kingery, owner of the business and others quickly patched the hole and continued doing business.
