League of Arts Presenting Wizard of Oz

The Carmi League of Arts Presents “The Wizard of Oz”

Follow the yellow brick road to the CWCHS auditorium this weekend to see Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman, and Cowardly Lion defeat the Wicked Witch of the West as the Carmi League of Arts presents the beloved L. Frank Baum classic “The Wizard of OZ.”

Showtimes are Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22 at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, June 23 at 2:30 pm.

The audience will see their favorite childhood characters sing and dance their way from the Kansas Prairie all the way to the Emerald City.  Traditional musical numbers are included, as well as some that did not appear in the motion picture.

The cast for the production consists of Dorothy Gale played by Brittany Griffin; Aunt Em (Emily Gale) by Sheila Westfall; Uncle Henry (Henry Gale) portrayed by Kaleb Collard; Farmhands Cooper Craig, Lane Camp, and Quinton Browning; Chaselyn Craig as the evil Miss Almira Gulch; Jason Craig as Professor Chester Marvel; Glinda the Good Witch portrayed by Grace Sinclair; The Wicked Witch of the West played by Tracy Orr; the Scarecrow, Tinman, and Cowardly Lion played by Scott Kiser, Keegan Dennis, and David Conner respectively; the Emerald City Guard by Kaleb Collard; and the the Wizard of OZ himself portrayed by Chance Hamblin.

The lovely young ladies cast as Munchkins include Alexus Gates, Niah Haley, Kenley Kays, Andi Kiser, Addy Lamont, Emma Legg, Ellie Orr, Mati Orr, Callie Winter, and Johanna Zieren.  The remaining roles are covered by an exceptionally gifted Ensemble including: Jasmine Allen, Brittany Anderson, Sloane Barbre, Quinton Browning, Lane Camp, Jason Craig, Lili Dinn, Allie Gee, Chance Hamblin, Zandrea Hafenrichter, Kelsi Kessler, Jason Lamp, Niki Lamont, Brandon Schultz, Walker Sinclair, Daniel Slaton, Lynnette Staley, and Laney York.
