The Carmi Kiwanis Club heard from Chris Maynard about Shepherd Insurance at Thursday’s meeting. Maynard noted that Shepherd Insurance has recently opened an office in Carmi. He, along with Skip Oliver, are available to serve customers in the Carmi area.
Maynard focused on health insurance, noting that requirements change as the laws change. Shepherd Insurance works to fill the health insurance needs of a variety of employers- small and large. They work with narrow network plans, association plans and also self-funded plans, in addition to traditional coverage. They also offer Medicare referral sources.
Maynard told club member it was important to be sure that their providers were in network when making an office or hospital visit.
Oliver mentioned that Shepherd Insurance has a variety of insurance products available from commercial to personal products.
