Carmi Police were called to the Dollar General Store Thursday afternoon at 2 pm and arrested a pair of male juveniles for stealing Mt. Dew sodas. The 12 and 13 year olds were transported to the Carmi Police Department and later released to the custody of their mothers. Each was charged with retail theft.
Thursday evening, Jennifer Raigner reported to Carmi Police that her daughter’s green and silver Next Shocker 26 inch bicycle had been stolen from her yard on Sixth Street the night of July 4th.
Thursday night, Carmi Police arrested 30 year old Tara Keown of Carmi following a traffic stop in the alley north of Fackney between 7th and 8th Street. Keown was pulled over just before 11:30 pm and was taken into custody for displaying a license plate not registered to her vehicle and a sticker that was not registered to the license plate. Keown was transported to the White County Jail and was later released after posting a $150 bond.
