Jonas Trimble proudly accepts the Eliza C. and C. S. Young Scholarship from WVC President Dr. Matt Fowler
Jonas Trimble, a 2017 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School, is the recipient of the 2017-18 Eliza C. and C. S. Young Memorial Scholarship at Wabash Valley College.
Jonas is the son of Caroline Trimble of Allendale, IL. He was President of the Mt. Carmel FFA for two terms, Vice-President of National Honor Society, Snow King Nominee, and a YAB member.
After Jonas completes his work at WVC, he plans to transfer to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and major in Electrical Engineering.
This scholarship recognizes outstanding academic achievement in high school and is awarded to students who demonstrate a potential to excel in their area of study. It has been established to assist students pursuing an Associate Degree at Wabash Valley College. This award helps provide assistance with tuition costs for Fall and Spring semesters of 2017-18 at WVC as long as the student remains enrolled full time. Total value of this award is estimated at $2,400.
