A 32 year old Jefferson County man is behind bars this morning following his arrest just before 1:30am. According to Carmi Police, Nathaniel Reed was pulled over by an officer in the early Wednesday morning hours at the Carmi Motel lot. It appears Reed failed to use his turn signal prompting the stop. During the pullover, it was discovered Reed was driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle prompting his arrest. Reed was given citations for failing to signal and driving uninsured. His preliminary charge of driving on a suspended license is a misdemeanor and he was held without bond as he had a first appearance Wednesday morning in White County Court.
