It’s A White County Christmas Continues
While the bulk of activities planned for the It’s A White County Christmas celebration in Carmi was held this past weekend, there are still some events on the schedule.
This weekend, Saturday Dec. 8, the Carmi Public Library will host a Christmas Story Hour. Then on Saturday, Dec. 15th, Santa will be the guest of honor at the Carmi Lion’s Club’s annual Breakfast with Santa. The special meal will be served at the Lion’s Den from about 7 until 10 that Saturday morning.
And Santa will be visiting with children on a number of days between now and Christmas.
Santa will be at his Carmi headquarters from 2 until 5 Saturday and Sunday of this coming weekend. Next weekend, Dec 15th, the jolly old elf will visit with children from 2 until 5 and then from 6 until 9 on Sunday, Dec. 16.
Wednesday, Dec. 19th Santa will visit with the kids from 6 until 9 and then Saturday, Dec. 22, the last chance to visit with Santa here in Carmi will run from 2 until 5. Then it’s back to the North Pole for the ole fella, whose belly jiggles like a bowl full of jelly as he puts the finishing touches on this year’s Christmas and readies for his Christmas Eve run.
