An Indiana man fell at the Garden of the Gods Sunday afternoon.
Saline County Central Dispatch received the 9-1-1 call around 4:30 p.m.
Zachary Settles, 24, of Newburgh, Indiana fell approximately five (5) feet and suffered a leg
injury. Saline County deputies, Saline County EMS and Equality Fire Department responded to
the scene.
Settles was flown from the scene to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
Garden of the Gods is a wilderness area with several hiking trails and out cropping of rock
formations, in Southeast Saline County, about 12 miles southeast of Harrisburg.
Visitors are reminded to wear appropriate shoes and clothing when visiting the area.
