With the March Republican Primary rapidly approaching, State Representative David Reis (R-Ste. Marie) is pleased to announce that he has received the endorsement of the Illinois Citizens for Life.
In their letter of endorsement, Illinois Citizens for Life Chairman Ralph Rivera praised Rep. Reis for his commitment to the protection of our pro-life values.
“You have had a 100% pro-life voting record since coming to the Illinois House of Representatives,” Rivera said of Reis. “You have also been a sponsor of numerous pro-life bills and an advocate for Life… I have personally seen your commitment to Life and Family and have come to rely on your good counsel. It is in the Illinois House where we have been able to stop anti-life legislation and where you have been a strong voice for Life on the Illinois House floor.”
David Reis is 100% pro-life and pro-family values and is proud to have the endorsement of right-to-life groups, including the Illinois Citizens for Life.
“Last year, I voted against and urged the Governor to veto House Bill 40, which provides taxpayer-funded abortions on demand,” Reis said. “I am sponsoring legislation to repeal this horrendous law and put an end to taxpayer-funded abortions. I believe that all life is precious and am committed to protecting our families and defending the right-to-life of the unborn.”
As our State Representative, David Reis spoke out against taxpayer-funded abortion on demand. He opposed embryonic stem cell research (PA 95-519) and supported a law to protect “born-alive” infants who survive attempted abortions (PA 94-559). We can trust David Reis to uphold our family values and protect the lives of the unborn.
“My record is clear – I am a Proven Conservative Voice for Our Families. It is my honor and privilege to serve as your State Representative. I ask for your vote in the Republican Primary on March 20th.”
Representative Reis has served his caucus as Assistant House Republican Leader since 2017. Reis is a farmer/businessman who lives in Jasper County on their family’s fifth-generation farm, where the Reis’ have farmed for over 150 years. David and his wife Maria have two children, Nicholas and Adriana.
