Miss Ellie Orr, accompanied by her grandmother Lynn Cantrell, sang “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” during the Carmi League of Arts’ 2015 Holly Jolly Follies. The second Christmas variety show will be held on Sunday, December 18 at 2:30 pm in the CWCHS Auditorium. Admission to this Christmas variety show will be free with the donation of non-perishable food or diapers. Donations will be given to WRUL’s Elf A Shelf program and the Carmi Compassion Center.This year’s show will again feature numerous musical acts revolving around the holiday season. Following the show, baked goods will be available to purchase. These will be items suitable for the Holiday table. All proceeds from the bake sale will go toward the CWCHS Drama Club’s annual field trip to the Fox Theatre.
