A Carmi woman must be aggravated following a hit and run she reported to Police officials this week. Amy Short of 10th Street alleges she was stopped for a stop sign at the corner of 4th and Stewart when she was rear ended by what she describes as an older brown vehicle driven by an older female. After the collision, Short says the woman, stated “It’s fine honey. I have to go pick up my granddaughter.” Short says the woman then drove away and never returned to exchange insurance information.
The report indicates damage estimated at less than $500.
