The Hayes Family Memorial Scholarship for 2016-2017 has been awarded to Presley Ice.
Presley, a graduate of Lawrenceville High School, is the daughter of Chad and Julie Ice of Lawrenceville, IL.
Presley plans to transfer to McKendree University after she receives her degree in Nursing from Wabash Valley College. Her future career goal is to work at Good Samaritan Hospital and attain a BSN degree.
The Hayes Family Memorial Scholarship has been established to assist students pursuing a career in the nursing field. This one-year scholarship of up to a maximum of $1,500, is awarded each academic year to a Wabash Valley College student who is in his/her second level of the Associate Degree in the Nursing Program. This one-year cash award may be applied toward tuition, books, transportation, or other educational expenses related to the Nursing Program. The recipients must have successfully completed at least 30 semester hours of study at WVC with no less than a 3.0 overall grade point average.
