Hamilton Memorial Hospital Welcoming New Board Certified Surgeon

Hamilton Memorial Hospital District is pleased to welcome Board Certified Surgeon, Dr. Rodney Miller.

Dr. Miller completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry at Austin Peay State University in 1990 and went on to complete his Medical Degree and Surgical Residency in 2000 at James H. Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Dr. Miller has over 20 years of experience including minimally invasive surgical procedures such as laparoscopic hernia repair, general endoscopy/colonoscopy, emergency medicine and advance wound care. Most recently, he has been part of the surgical staff at Herrin Hospital where he has served as a surgeon since 2013.

“In a rural area like McLeansboro it’s important that Hamilton Memorial is able to offer specialty care such as surgical services. Being able to provide these types of services allows not only Hamilton County residents but also the surrounding communities the opportunity to receive quality care close to home,” says Hamilton Memorial Hospital CEO Victoria Woodrow.

Dr. Miller will provide a full range of surgical services on Monday and Wednesday, and is currently accepting surgery clinic appointments at Hamilton Memorial Family Clinic in McLeansboro. Dr. Miller is an independent contractor and not employed by Hamilton Memorial Hospital District.
