Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Makes Several Arrests Over the Weekend

1-24-20 Glenda S. Bowder age 38 of Sesser was arrested for Driving under the Influence after a 911 report of a reckless driver travelling eastbound on State Route 14W. Deputies were able to locate the vehicle and initiate a traffic stop after observing Bowder’s vehicle cross the center line & drive off the edge of the roadway multiple times.

1-25-20 Tyson Musgrave age 26 of Carmi was cited for speeding 70mph in a 55mph zone.

1-25-20 Harold Elliott age 62 of Broughton was cited for expired registration.

1-25-20 Cherokee Benbrook age 20 of McLeansboro was issued a “Notice to Appear” for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding 73mph in a 55mph zone.

WARRANT ARRESTS

1-24-20 At approximately 11:01pm Hamilton County Dispatch Center received a 911 call from an individual stating he had been dropped off on a country road and was unfamiliar with the area. Deputies were able to locate Noah J. Thurman age 20 of Carmi. After a check of Thurman’s identification, it was learned he had a “Failure to Appear Warrant out of White County and was taken into custody.

1-26-20 Steven “Tony” Sullivan age 57 of McLeansboro was arrested on a Hamilton County “Failure to Appear” after Deputies located him in the 400 block of S. Hancock street in McLeansboro.

The public is reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
