Grayville Woman Arrested in Mt. Carmel
Mt. Carmel City Police arrested 28 year old Ashley Murphy of Grayville Friday after the vehicle she was a passenger in was stopped by authorities.
Mt. Carmel’s K-9 officer, Ace, alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle, therefore a search was conducted of the vehicle. Police located a used hypodermic needle and prescription pills in the vehicle.
The search revealed Murphy was wanted on a White County warrant for failure to appear. She was transported to the Wabash County jail in Mt. Carmel, where she was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic needle and she was served the White County warrant.
Murphy remained in custody Monday, pending the posting of bond.
