The Grayville City Council met Friday morning for a special meeting to discuss personnel issues in the Utilities and Police Departments as well as to approve financial transactions to meet obligations for the metering project.
Following a 45 minute executive session, the Council unanimously approved extending the resignation date of Officer Gil Santos to June 30th and voted to rescind the posting of the position of supervisor in the Utilities Department.
The Council then gave authorization for City Treasurer Sharon Walden to start paperwork with one of three banks with a cap of $1.1 million for funding of the metering project when final loan proposals are received.
The meeting adjourned at 8:52 am, and the City Council will meet in regular session again on June 11 at 7 pm.
